Thinking.

This is a portrait of Mr. Azeez Saeed, of Nigerian origin, but born in Dublin. He works as a DJ in a theatre club where he calls himself BLNCK CNVSS. The vowels have been removed. I had the opportunity of painting him on three occasions between Sept. 2025 and May 2026. This is the last of the three paintings. What really interested me was the way he concentrated. He was quite intense as thought he was playing music in his head. And I loved the pose, the tub chair, the check waistcoat, the jewellery on his fingers, the watch and necklace. The painting was short listed for the AIB portrait competition 2026 at the National Gallery of Ireland. The exhibition was from November to2026 to March 2027 and the it went to Galway and Limerick.
